Sounds right, idling but it is a little different under load and you don't have the fan noise.

Subject: [CBQ] CAT D375 Found

I went to the internet in an effort to find a CAT D375 to record for a decoder sound file, and I found one that not only operates, but is featured in a YouTube video. I’m interested in knowing if the sounds of this motor ring any bells with any of you how have heard them in diesel converted motor cars.

I’m in contact with a group of antique Caterpillar experts who have positively identified the CAT D375 as the diesel in a couple of Q motor cars that were photographed with the engine compartment doors open. I’m hoping these contacts will identify additional operational CAT D375s, and that a recording session can be arranged.
