Thanks for the challenge of identifying the location of that photograph, Dave Lotz. Seems as though others already have it well-identified. Not knowing the location I and a fellow railfan tried to pick out interesting things we saw. Especially notable is the zigzag stairway leading to the walkway crossing over the tracks and the stairway at the other (North ? ) end. Beneath the walkway seems to be a road on which is a wagon pulled by several horses. As another has noted, way cars are a varied lot, some of the passenger cars in the foreground have vestibules, some open platforms, some have arched windows, some have square.. On far left of horizon appears to be a 3-story substantial building with a belfry/cupola on top, so typical of 19th century colleges, high schools, or courthouses. It was a fun activity.
