That is an intersting question. 

You are probably familiar with the 1953 Budd builders photo of the newly built 
spare "CZ - Akasarben Zephyr" Vista Dome Sleeper Buffet Observation car "Silver 
Lookout" which helped provide enough cars to do the CZ to AKZ rotation.

It does display an "Aksarben Zephyr" drum head with unique Aksarben Zephyr 
artwork at Red Lion, PA.  Did the CB&Q Carmen slip this artwork in the drumhead 
for each AKZ run at Chicago or did the neon CZ drumhead sign go dark while on 
the back of the AKZ?  I suspect dark, but it will be interesting to hear what 
others have to say.
