From the drawings that will be in the next Bulletin, the bells on the SDs at least were located on the rear of the fuel tank.  It is difficult to ascertain which side they were offset to, however.  I have been unable to find a photo that shows the placement.

where was the usual place for bell? thanks

The Q used the Leslie A-200 on their road units up through the GP20s/SD24s.  After that, they went with the Leslie S3-L starting with the GP30s.
