I understood that Farmington IA was a joint depot, CB&Q and RI, one on each side of the building. The building still stands, privately owned and covered in grooved plywood. Attached is a Bernie Corbin photo of the Farmington IA depot.

 

I too question the photo reported to be Farmington ILL. Google maps shows what appears to be a lumber yard and other “industry” in Farmington in the area where the Q depot would most logically have been located. None are visible in the photo. If the depot was on the west side of the tracks, the photo is looking south and the train is northbound, shadows show a late afternoon shot. The 2nd photo Bud referenced did not come through, so I can not view it.
