Harry C. Murphy died Saturday, March 4, 1967 from a heart attack at the age of 
74.  The Chicago Tribune's obit lists his date of retirement as October, 1965, 
so, yes, he passed within 18 months of retirement.  As you know, he was 
replaced by D. T. Sprau's uncle, who a year later, became leader of one of the 
"Q's" shortline subsidiaries in the Pacific Northwest.
