There were two slides that just sold on eBay (item 360421780579) that may be of interest. The slides were taken in 1968. Here is the link: www.ebay.com/itm/360421780579 The first shows the head end of a passenger train with a Q E8A (or E9A)and E7A followed by two Flexivan cars (four trailers) then the train. The next slide, which is presumably the rear end of the same train, shows a silver Q Havelock baggage car and converted troop kitchen car bringing up the rear of the train. Can anyone identify where the photo was taken and/or maybe know what train this might be? We seem to have few shots of Flexivans on trains, so it is of interest to see them right behind the lead units. And what about the baggage and converted troop kitchen car at the rear of the train? Was this common practice? Tom Mack Cincinnati, OH ------------------------------------ Yahoo!
