This is actually a circular herald used in black-and-white only on Burlington public timetables of the early 1880s.  In recent years a number of manufacturers have added color to the herald and reproduced it in the formof lapel pins and embroidered patches.  It was never used on equipment.

Subject: [CBQ] CB&Q oval logo

Recently, there has been some discussion about the CB & Q, rectangular/square logo.

Not long ago I stumbled upon this oval CB & Q logo (it's in the attachment), which I had never seen before. My questions are: is this a piece of artwork or was this logo actually used to identify the CB & Q at one time?; If so, when?

Thanks very much. I hope all of you have a prosperous 2012.
