Subject: [BRHSlist] Oil Tenders

I am looking for overhead photos of oil tenders on Burlington, C&S of FW&D locomotives. I "grew up" on the L&N and have good knowledge of coal tenders but never saw an oil burner up close. I am modeling FW&D locomotives, having modified a LMB 0-1 and bashed a Bachmann 2-8-0 into a look-a-like Denver locomotive.
I was able crawl over FW&D # 304 in Wichita Falls, courtesy of the late Malcolm Vordenbaum and have good photos. The oil bunker is simply set into the place where coal would have been and bolted down. I am looking for pictures of the 2-8-2; or larger locomotives. I need them from above so I can see the placement of the filler hatch, and what it looks like. If there are shots of the oil piping and steam pipes to the tender to heat the oil, that would be great. Finally, I need info on where the sand, used to clean the flues, was kept.
Thanks.
Pat Homan
