[CBQ] Caboose(s) in Comfort, TX

Howdy,

 

I list 3 "preserved" cabooses in Comfort, TX:

 

FWD "160", wood, cupola, outside braced, south of town near I-10, for sale.  If this car is FWD 160 as reported then it's a steel, wide vision cupola hack.  If it is a wood, cupola car with or without the outside bracing then it's not FWD 160.

 

FWD 26, wood, cupola, outside braced, south of town near I-10, for sale. From the location and description it would seem that the "160" and 26 are at the same place or might even be the same caboose?

 

SP #?, steel, cupola, no trucks?, near "depot" - http://lbplatt.rrpicturearchives.net/showPicture.aspx?id=1129593 .

 

Perhaps somebody who lives in or near Comfort could investigate these 3 reports to see if 1, 2 , or 3 of these cabooses are still in Comfort?  A photo or 2 would be good, if possible.

 

You might need a tetanus shot if you plan to get up close and personal to the SP clunker!
