I think one interesting thing with the cab layout is going to be the build date 
for the SW1200. The first batch of Q SW1200's (9271-9280) was delivered in late 
1955. As shown in my January 1954 SW1200 operator' s manual, the first SW1200's 
had the round "barrel" style control stand. The second batch (9281-9282) was 
delivered in mid-1965. As shown in my 2nd Edition SW1200 operator's manual 
dated February 1965, by this time I EMD had already switched over to the more 
modern AAR control stand. This was different from the full height AAR Control 
Stand in that the brake equipment was in its own stand, and the throttle module 
was actually in a control stand box that was mounted on a steel pedestal. But 
the throttle quadrant itself is basically the same one EMD uses today.
