I do not know anything about "CC Lawless & Sons" in Camp Point, IL.  

However, I did grow up in Mt. Sterling, IL, which is a few miles east on US-24. 
 There was a lawyer in town whose name was on his office window as "John Q. 
Lawless - Attorney at Law".  

Maybe John Q. Lawless & CC Lawless were related ?
