Just found your group and thought I'd "enlist". I've been a resident here for 
the last 12 yrs. and have met a few old "Q" men. One of the more interesting 
characters that I keep in contact with, my wife and I met when the Br. @ 
Milledgeville was replaced. Long story short, he showed me 3 prints from an 
unknown photographer that he had had in his possession for years, by the 
dog-eared looks of them. One is of the Zephyr, head on from the IC bridge 
westbound. another is slightly to the south and more broadside,same 
direction,different day or photographer. In both the Type B lower quadrant 
semaphores are visible beyond the "tell-tale". And the third shows the train 
heeling to the curve in front of the Polo depot eastbound from what I would 
have to say would be the Hwy.26 overpass. It shows a storage track on the north 
side of the main, house and team track for loading livestock it appears,judging 
by a few stock cars present. Also have postcard/s of the depot. One other item 
of note. I also took some photos of the old alignment west of Chadwick detector 
between Daggert Cemetery and Hwy.78. Now, I've seen info that says the "Q" 
called it "Daggett", but I can't seem to locate that same info as of late. 
These slides I took in the winter of '03 show two large  poured concrete box 
culverts nearly on top of each other near the top of old grade on a fill, 
probably 70' high. I believe the realignment realigned a curve and gradient, 
but I can't say for certain. This was done sometime in the 30's I've been told.
