All,
     This is from one of my contacts, a reliable source - - an Amtrak employee:
     The first two cars were an accomadation cars ( ex CN sleeper lounge, 
painted in PRR colors ) and the   FRA test car, followed by BNSF 7 SANTA FE for 
BNSF folks to ride in.     The FRA cars make regular circuits over all Amtrak 
routes. When they get to LAX they will go to New Orleans on the Sunset Ltd.  
The BNSF car deadheads back to Chicago.
