So how long (in car lenths) would a small town depot's platform be? Would it have been enough for one or two cars or a longer train. How was the loading of passengers completed on a longer platform if the platform was long enough for several cars? I am familiar with larger station such as Chicago Union Station, and the commuter lines on the racetrack, but I have no experience with small town depots.
