In reply to anonymous, During early 1969 there were eight passenger trains (four each way) on the East/West M/L, and I believe there was still six passenger trains on the North/South line. One of the North bound passenger trains would stop at Phelps, MO and PU TOFC cars with trailers loaded with meat. These were dropped at Pac.Jct. for movement East. The M/L freights kept on going, the locals were pretty much the only ones using the yard. I'm sure others may have a better memory. Lenny ------------------------------------ Yahoo!
