We would see C&S hoppers occasionally in the coal fields especially the 70 tonners and later the 100 tonners. And in the early fifies the composite gons showed up a lot (remember this was the time of chronic car shortages in the wintertime). At that time Builders Supply was located on North Ave directly west of the Aurora depot and on trackage handle at one time by the "Alley Job". Leo Phillipp Yorkville,IL Ps-I pass thru Mahomet on a regular basis while in route to Champaign to make payments to the U Of I. (!!??)Seems like a nice place to live.
