Don't know if anyone on the list has mentioned this yet but the Brookfield
Missouri Country Club Lake (about 3 Miles East of Brookfield and abutting the
railroad's right-of-way) was built by the Q as a source of water for steam
locomotives. The lake still exists and is used extensively.
