Dear Friend of the SDSRM:
As a friend of railroading, you undoubtedly know and appreciate much about its
history. You understand the innate connection between its contributions to the
development of South Dakota, and to our Nation.
Today, the South Dakota State Railroad Museum's Board of Directors launches its
$150,000 Founders Campaign, a program for the Museum's development (a 501c3
non-profit; EIN 91-1773765). It is an ambitious undertaking; it is also vital
to the Museum's mission and future. I want you to be recognized as a part of
its history.
This is your only opportunity to be a Founding Member of the SDSRM. Your gift
today will guarantee the success of our Museum in service to our State's
students, residents and visitors alike, and it will assure our educational
outreach missions will be both wider and deeper. Simply put, it establishes and
promotes our shared legacy of railroading and our cultures in South Dakota.

The Founder's names, corporate names, names in memorial, or names "in honor of"
will be placed on the website (SDSRM.org), at upcoming public ceremonies, and
permanently displayed inside the Museum.
Future generations of Americans will live in a world more complicated than
ours. One thing will remain constant ¬? a desire to recall and experience our
collective history. The railroads created, influenced, and developed the South
Dakota we now know, and how we will continue to change tomorrow.
