Short/tall globe?  Is lantern marked, how, raised letters/herald, is globe 
marked?  Is lantern complete?  Font?  Is globe not chipped or cracked?  Maybe 
owner painted.  RR did not paint their lanterns that I know of.  Bob

  I have a chance to pick ip a Burlington Route lantern, the guy says its 
painted blue and yellow. I've never seen one painted like this, however, my 
experience with lanterns is very limited. Can anyone shed any light (pun 
intended) on this?
