Of course, the Athearn DD40 was not even a real locomotive! It was closer to a
DD35 than the actual DDA40X. But, speaking of DD units, You could
prototypically run the EMD GP35-DD35B-GP35 demonstrator set on the Q since it
did run on Q rails. You would have to go brass or kitbash the DD35B, though.
