What forum? This is the only significant CB&Q forum (BRHS yahoo very seldom
used) & I don't recall such a question. My slides show grey; we also had a
Zephyr issue on the topic so not much to debate unless that Zephyr shows
'black' bays (at work so don't have access)

Hello Group,
There happens to be a debate raging on another forum about the color of the
hopper bays on the 1967-68 orders of the PS 4740 high side hoppers. Were the
cars delivered with black bays or were they entirely gray?
