It is Zeigler not Ziegler! The photo in BB35 is of the Q depot. It was a
standard Q frame depot that was brick veneered with red brick. On the north end
it had a waiting room, a freight room on the south end and an office with a bay
window in the middle. It was roofed with rolled roofing with a hip roof and had
a sign on the roof facing the tracks that said "ZEIGLER". There was an "U"
shaped timber freight platform around the freight room with a ramp on the north
trackside end. The "house track" ran right in front of the depot. It was torn
down in 1972.
The MOP depot in Zeigler was a square brick building with a flat roof located
two blocks south of the Q depot. It had two rooms, an office and a freight room.

Hi,
Can anyone furnish me with information on the Ziegler, IL depot. I'd like
to find photos and drawings (or at least know the foot print) for model
building purposes. I do have the information from the coal fields bulletin
and what I think is a Howard Killum photo which was mislabeled at the
Missouri Pacific station.
Thanks,
Bill Hoss
