The West Quincy depot from 1954 was not actually destroyed by the flood of 1993 
but was in bad shape due to it. I went in and took pictures of it after the 
water went down and by the looks of it BN didn't get much out before it was 
submerged as there were brand new rail saws still in their boxes ruined in the 
old baggage area. Also the yard office and engine shop were in such poor shape 
that all buildings in the yards were removed. BN replaced the yard office with 
a double-wide (supposedly so it could be pulled out in case of another flood). 
This was expanded  again when the SPCSL traffic thru West Quincy took off ( SP 
had 44 turns based in WQ at the time of the BN/ATSF merger, they were all moved 
elsewhere after the SP/UP merger). The BNSF replaced this with a permenant 
building around 2007.
