Tom Burg, an attendee at several BRHS meets (& a panelist for our clinic on RR book publishing @ the Dubuque Annual meet) is the editor/publisher of this superb book. Roy Campbell, a Wisconsin resident & good friend & one-time employee of Al Kalmbach, was a very active AND excellent photographer of the midwest RR scene in the 30's to the 50's but his collection lay dormant after his death (and only a handful published during his lifetime). His family working with Tom Burg, has had these published in a quality soft-bound series. Also several were put into CD format including the CB&Q book. The series of books/CD's is focused on Wis and adjacent states so the CB&Q book & CD have a heavy concentration on the LaCrosse & Chi-Aurora Divs with photos both technically sound and often revealing subjects not seen before. All are well labeled as to where/when & special comments. There is also a book on Chicago suburban railroads with significant CB&Q coverage. I offered several of the CB&Q books via this list two months ago & all were snapped up the same day (Tom had given me a special price for Q fans). He who hesitates is lost! :-) Gerald _________________________________________________________________ Hotmail has tools for the New Busy.
