Put a photo of the train order board from the Osceola Depot in photos file Op
Forms
Not a very good one but It is Red with a white strip lower Quad. with the back
White with a black strip.
Osceola was in the double track Automatic Block territory between Galesburg and
Creston. Rule 251 so the trains got a clearance with slow orders and followed
the signals until they got the where they were going or a red order board
staying to the right hand track. To hold a train between the CTC at Creston
and Chariton(if the operator was on duty) or Halpin you had the op set the
board. Then the train would have to pick up orders for what was going on.
Fall Annual Meet will have a clinic "Tour of the Dispatchers Office" This
will cover the Cicero, Galesburg, and Ft Worth (IDC and NOC) Offices. Sorry
Pete the "Train Order Operations" will be at a later meeting.

Subject: [CBQ] CB&Q Train Order Boards
Hi,
Wondered if someone could confirm the type of train order boards the CB&Q would
have used - upper or lower, type of blade (square or pointed) and striping
scheme?
Thanks in advance,
Steve
