Hey there train fans, mark your calendar!

It's that time again when all the basements, closets, and train rooms in 
Central Illinois get cleaned out and treasures of all kinds can be found at the 
annual Springfield Train Fair. Hours are 10 am to 4 pm. Admission is $4 for 
adults and kids under 11 are free!

Bring your tax refund and spend some money! Get that locomotive you have been 
afraid to tell your wife about. Find that structure you need for that special 
scene on your layout. Go ahead... blow the college fund! Get crazy! You only 
live once and you can never have enough trains! Just get over here and see what 
everyone has been talking about! The place is full of railroaders and vendors 
with great deals on everything you need. It's JI-GUNDO!

This is Central Illinois largest train show and has always proven to be as 
exciting as a cornfield meet. New stuff, old stuff, and unusual stuff.  
Operating modular layouts will be featured. 

The train fair is located at the Orr Building on the Illinois State 
fairgrounds. This is a 30,000 square foot building. That's enough train stuff 
to fill a football field!

Amtrak serves Springfield on a somewhat regular schedule. (LOL) Make it an 
outing on the train!
