The boiler house was not used by the time I went to work there in '67
I do not think it was even there and or used except maybe to heat the office,
Boarding House(later Supt. House) and possibly the shearing shed and Auction
Barn
By '67 when I went to work there all the heat was coal potbelly stoves and coal
steam boiler in the Super's house. Coal came in by company gon and the section
unloaded and distributed it. The building in that area was gone as was
everything west of Rt. 31. The barn marked Sheep Barn in the middle had just
been torn down and the Barn marked Sheep along 31 was used by Wertheimer
Cattle Company for feeding and sales they used the west office and the area was
full of cross fences for the cattle feeding area although most not used. No
auctions held in a long time either. The barns were not heated. No need for it

Group:
I notice from Bulletin 25 there was a boilerhouse at the Montgomery IL
sheepyard. Did the Q setout hopper cars of coal here, or was it trucked in? Was
the boilerhouse used to heat the sheepbarns? Anyone have any pics?
Thanks in advance!
