G'Day All, I'm researching the FW&D 5001-5025 series boxcars built sometime during the mid 1960's by, I believe, ACF. Unfortunately, I don't have my CB&Q Equipment Diagram book with me, but the cars are smooth-side 50'-6" boxcars with, I believe, an 8' sliding door and 6' auxiliary plug door. I recall coming across a small black and white photo of one of the cars in Modeling Railroading years ago, but have since misplaced the magazine. The purpose of the research is so that I can kitbash a reasonable model from an existing Front Range kit I have tucked away. What I'm looking for are online photos of the cars as they would have appeared in the late 1970's or early 1980's. I'm also looking photographic evidence if any of the cars received BN paint and BN numbers after the merger into the BN in 1980. Regards, Darrall Swift Modeling the BN/MILW in North central Montana.
