Special menus were issued at Thanksgiving & Christmas, seasonal prayer "tents"
were found on dining car tables (pre p.c. days) and Christmas cards were sent
to frequent riders/shippers. (and of course shippers got gifts & promo items)

Dec issues of the Zephyr would have Christmas themes & some of the major
ciies had Christmas decor around ticket windows, etc.  Of course this was not
unique to the Q, "in the day".  Ad's can be seen in magazines like Saturday
Evening Post well into the 50's with holiday themes promoting ea RR's passenger
service, esp. the agressive ones like Q, GN, Santa Fe, etc.

Commuter's got vinyl ticket holders & cards thanking them for their patronage.

Since we just had Christmas, did the Q do anything special for it's passengers
that were traveling on the holiday.

Thanks
Mitch
