I live near Peoria. Last week I went through Farmington where the crossing at
IL Rt 116 was removed along with about a mile of track last year and no work
has been done to restore the line. I talked with a BNSF track worker who said
that the coal loads for Ameren-Cilco DuckCreek will come up through Dunfermline
and that track is now being repaired. Also, all the line from Yates City
through Canton is in very poor condition for coal trains and would be very
expensive to rebuild while the line through Dunfermline was used for coal drags
