Hello Dustin,
Here are a few quick things to make your unit more accurate for the Q. More
than likely, the headlights will need to be removed and replaced. Detail
Associates parts #s 1002 and 1004 are correct replacements. Walthers has these
for $1 for a pack of 2. Add in some MV lenses to complete the setup. You will
need to remove the old headlight castings and in the process, lose the working
headlight. Richmond Controls has been recommended to replace the working
headlights. http://www.richmondcontrols.com/ ; I haven't done this to my
Geeps yet, so I am not sure if there is a way the existing lights can be
reused. Another detail that will make it Q specific is an overnight heater box
behind the fireman's side of the cab. This part was done by Q Connection a few
years ago, but I believe that they are sold out. Aside from those, I would
recommend trying to locate pictures of the unit you are modeling to nail down
more specific
details as horn locations, among other things, will vary from unit to unit.
Also, you'll want to have the class plates and builders' plates, both of which
are available from Microscale.
Good luck!
