[CBQ] Old Equipment

The BN merger will be 40 years old next March.  We still find in service 
equipment in the lettering and colors of the premergered railroads.  I find 
this fact very amazing.  None of these cars etc. needed to be shopped where 
they could be relettered, or renumbered during that time. And there have been 
two mergers since the BN in 3/70 (Frisco & Santa Fe). Do we have another 40 
years of SLSF & AT&SF to look forward to.  There are lots of middle aged 
railfans who were born after the BN was created.  I for one am glad I was 
around before that infamous date and can remember Q silver, GN orange & green 
etc.
