Wasn't it a better practice to drop the waycar behind the helpers, and put it behind the helpers vs in front? I am thinking older waycars with wood frames. Although after steel was brought into the picture for waycar frames some railroads still dropped the waycar to put the helpers against the train. Because the waycar was the lightest car OF the train.
