Hi John, You might want to investigate the use of a rechargeable battery running an LED, instead of a grain of wheat bulb, via track power. Years ago, in Model Railroader Magazine, was a schematic to run a rechargeable battery system, allowing the battery to be recharged, via track power. You still probably would need the trucks that you seek, but the light would be consistent and not effected by any crud on a track. Seems the MR article was in the mid 1980s.. One neat part to it was a means to turn on and off the lights, when the caboose left the yard for the road, using a magnetic switch... Electronics have evolved, even more since then... Just a thought....duane Duane Koss BNSF Clovis Sub / MP 715 Fort Sumner, New Mexico 2008-2009 CHR Coordinator www.curtishill.com ------------------------------------ Yahoo!
