The Saudis also had an ex-Powatan Arrow obs (Norfolk and Western RR). It was a smooth-side PS car. --- On Tue, 5/26/09, larrgra <larry.graus@opc.com> wrote: From: larrgra <larry.graus@opc.com> Subject: [CBQ] Location of Zephyrs in Saudi Arabia To: CBQ@yahoogroups.com Date: Tuesday, May 26, 2009, 12:29 PM Guys, I was searching on Google Maps and may have found them. Go to Ad Dammam in Saudi Arabia. Some 2.7 to 2.8 km SSE of Ad Dammam is a yard with two tracks running NW to SE, each of which appears to be holding cars of possibly passenger-car length. On the more northern track is a set of cars with what appears to be an observation car at about the middle of the string of cars. I do not know if the Suadis had other round-end observation cars, however. More interesting is the southern string of cars. At the far southeast end there appears to me to be a three-car trainset; at the extreme southeast end of this line is what appears to me to possibly be a power car. It appears to have a long-slanted end. What do you think? larrgra [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] ------------------------------------ Yahoo!
