Jan,
The locomotive in the back ground by the tender, appears to have a
Wootten firebox and maybe a camelback, judging by the elaborate
handrail along the running board going to the rear cab. If so, the
4-4-0 could be Delaware, Lackawanna & Western locomotive or it might
be Reading or another RR that used camelbacks. I agree with another
writer that the tender does not appear to be painted or at least
finished. Could be a shop scene after repairs. My vote is that it
belongs to an eastern RR. The appearance also suggests Southern.
