If the location is known where the wreck took place. I would check with the
local historical society in the area, state historical society, and possibly
college universities in the surronding area.
Off but on topic. I also belong to the Missabe RR Historical Society. And FRANK
KING who was the official RR photographer of the DM&IR did 2 books back in the
1960s, and when he passed away, his collection went to the Univerisity of
Minnesota Duluth-UMD for short. They also have treasure troves of railroad
archives that would rival any RR historical society. Think of and name off any
railroad that ran thru Minnesota, and they have records of them, current
railroads or railroads that are long gone...
