I forgot to mention the "feeder" stock fall rush in my prior email. Even
into the 70s we were spotting "feeders" from Colorado,Montana etc in fall and
almost into winter at the stock yards still in service in Northern Ill.:
Milledgeville,Polo, Montgomery. At that time Savanna was still a stop off
point for
feed,water and exercise.
