Jim,
All of the current Hudsons aren't very good as stand ins for the CB&Q's S4s.
The NYC versions are smaller and the tender is wrong except for the
Commonwealth trucks.I have the Hallmark brass model and can say it is a great
runner and highly accurate. It comes with plenty of extra parts to make an
original or modernized version. I painted and tuned mine about 20+ years ago. I
lubed it with teflon grease in the gearbox and keep the bearings well oiled.
Contact me off list if you need any more info.
Sincerely,
Rob Manley

Does any manufacturer currently produce a "HUDSON" type steam engine (4-
6-4) I think is the wheel arrangment.
I can't seem to locate one.
