When I e-mailed Atlas I asked about that as well. Also, the forward
air grill is mounted high on the Q U30B's, but is shown in the lower
position (Phase IIb) on the drawing. I mentioned that to Atlas as
well. I will post their response.
The problem I see is there were so many minor variants on the Phase II
U30B's that Atlas may only do one variant. I can live without those
two changes. I am thinking one might be able to pull the tapers off of
an Athearn shell and manage a semi-decent kitbash. The air grill will
be a bit tougher, but as I said, I can live with it. I am pleased we
will have a nice Atlas U30B with sound.
