Not a hoax. Grouply is a third-party "service" to "improve online groups" by
joining them into one. Security issue number one is they require your Yahoo
ID and password. Issue number two is that private groups then become public
via this including all messages, photos, email addresses, etc. Third is that
the email list of the group is then open to spam as this is the income for
the "service". And as soon as a member of the group joins the list is then
spammed with messages for other members to join this "wonderful and helpful
service".
