I always thought the air compressor was behind those doors and that's why they
were either louvered or screens to draw in air to keep it cool. Just a thought.

Wouldn't it be some kind of cab-fresh air intake? Since B-units lack
the airfilter *and* a cab. Can't think of anything else...
