Hi to all,
Just to let you all know that we will hopefully be moving this ancient
treasure in the 1st week of April to her new home in Cheyenne. Today we
removed all the siding that went from the frame to the ground put on in
later years.
The exposed frame is good generally with some rot and fire damage on
one end, we uncovered the truss rod bracket box sections that run
across the width of the car and numerous other pieces of ironwork.
We would like any input on what the probable first paint colour would
have been for this UPD&G vehicle, the only remaining example of this
companies stock, we assume it would be a Pullman brown. However this is
not a priority yet as hundreds of pieces of tongue and groove will need
to be made and put on to replace the rotten lower siding !!
Happy exciting days !!!
