I have the older Atlas GP7's and Proto's and neither have the MARS light and I
wouldn't expect the new ones to have them either. That would require a new mold
to do that. John

Does the photo for May in the 2008 BRHS calendar have any relevance? (Yes, I
know, West Quincy is in Missouri.) PAW

Need some information regarding the Q¡¯s GP7. Did they come from the
builder with the Mars light high on each end, and the headlight lower
down, or was the Mars light put in that position later by the motive
department?
As previously noted, Atlas will be coming out with a Q GP7 later this
spring. Caboose Hobbies is taking orders but the illustration
accompanying its listing doesn¡¯t show any Mars light on either end.
Also, was the engine heater seen in so many photos of a Q GP7 original
equipment from the builder or was it a later add-on?
