John,
The box on the roof behind the cab is the dynamic brake as applied to
the MBTA locomotives. As someone else said, this looks like a badly
painted model. For starters, to be Q, the entire undercarriage and
the pilot should be painted silver and the nose stripes certainly
aren't correct.
