BN SD9 was 6234 and has supposed to be BNSF 6148.
North sent as BNSF 6234 without BNSF 6148 because they say
it was going to scrap as MNTX and did not change to BNSF 6148
as a waste of money.
The BN 6235 had been mixed up with the BNSF number and were
but with 6148 as new that was not put in first number but sent
them later. There were around 3 or 4 numbers that did not get
first numbers to BNSF and were sent as needs later.
See November 1996 with BNSF errors done later as needed.
I do have problems reading but this it what happened.

On December 7, 2007 MNTX SD9 6234 emerged from the Wisconsin & Southern
Railroad Co.'s Horicon, WI paint shop with a new coat of paint. MNTX
6234 was painted in the "classic" Burlington Northern Railroad
"Cascade" Green paint scheme retaining the BN 6234 locomotive number.
The BN "Cascade" green paint scheme was chosen because that is the
portion of its history which is relevant to Minnesota. The 6234 has had
this scheme since 1971 and the BN 6234 locomotive number since 1980. In
addition, the entire locomotive cab interior was also repainted.
BN 6234 was retired on January 15, 2003 (as BNSF 6234) by the Burlington
Northern & Santa Fe Railway and was donated by BNSF to the Minnesota
Transportation Museum, Inc. on September 12, 2003. BNSF delivered the
6234 to the Jackson Street Roundhouse in St. Paul on October 16, 2003.
BN SD9 6234, with FRA reporting mark MNTX 6234, is in service from early
May to late October on the Osceola & St. Croix Valley Railway's regular
passenger operations between Osceola, WI and Marine, MN, and between
Osceola, WI and Dresser, WI; and the Fall Leaf Viewing trips between
Osceola and Marine on the St. Croix. Canadian National Railway grants
the OSCV Railway trackage rights on CN's Wisconsin Division Dresser
Subdivision between Withrow, MN and Dresser, WI.
