   Jan,
If I were to do one of these cars I think I would start with a Labelle 
coach kit or a Roundhoue Pullman Palace sleeper. Either would be a lot 
of work.

The paint in the picture has faded some but I would start with "reefer 
orange" and maybe add some white for a faded effect.
