[CBQ] Lowell & Southern

Following on from a couple of messages last month that the Lowell & Southern 
was purchased by the CB&Q in the 1930's, can anyone give a more precise date 
for the takeover?  Also, what happened to its rolling stock? Was it renumbered 
into the CB&Q or kept separate?

Any information you can provide would be very gratefully received.
