You can't (couldn't) beat/top spending a nice summer day watching the Q
at Washington Park. It was great fun to drive those 15 miles to Galva.
Passing to the south of the Foundry was how I got to the awaiting
picnic tables.
Galva & New Windsor each had their movie theatre. But only at Galva,
could you feel the passing of the Q from your theatre seat.
You can still go & buy a package of Swedish Krisprolls (Rusks) in
Galva. Too bad that the Creamery was torn down. Lots of memories of
going over with my Grandpa to sell eggs, cream & hens to them.
Galva has definitely earned its place on my (future) HO layout.

1990's there were 4 places open, the rest vacant.
